Greek Cowboys Homecoming Float

Greek Cowboys of Coppell had a float in the Coppell Homecoming Parade.  Members enjoyed decorating.  We will meet this Monday the 21st at 6:30 pm at Town Center Elementary for our monthly club meeting.

Much To-Do at the Zoo

Zookeeper, Christina Eastwood is welcoming our Dallas County 4-H members to come help work behind the scenes making enrichment toys for the animals at the Dallas Zoo on Saturday, January 17th. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Zookeeper Eastwood informed me of a few changes. She has received approval for us to work behind the scenes in a DIFFERENT part of the zoo. YEAH! However, that being said the new area will not have restrooms or water access. She is planning to make a bathroom stop before heading to the work area and before starting the tour. All attendees must bring adequate water with them for the duration of the event.
Arrival time is 11:45 am. This will be on a come, first serve basis, so if you would like to attend do not wait to e-mail Tamra at tdmcgaughy@ag.tamu.edu . Volunteer forms and parking instructions and passes will be emailed on Friday to registered families.

The final R.S.V.P. day will be Friday, January 16th! 

 Also, if you have not order a 4-H Zoo t-shirt yet, there is still time. We need more orders to get the cost down.    Cost: $13 each

Lucky Heart Cafe now accepting reservations

The Dallas County 4-H Council will host a dinner fundraiser on Sun. Feb. 15th at the Dallas County AgriLife Extension Office. The Valentine’s Lucky Heart CafĂ© will be open for one night only. This fundraiser will specifically assist 4-H members planning to attend State 4-H Round-up in College Station, Texas.
Any 4-H member age 11 and up, that is planning to attend Round-up, can come help with this event. Help needs:
·         Set up /Clean-up – arrive by 1 p.m.
·         Food prep – arrive by 1 p.m.
·         Servers – arrive by 4:30 p.m.
·         Hostesses – arrive by 4:30 p.m.
·         Entertainment (musical, singing) – arrive by 4:30 p.m.
We will only accept 20 reservations per seating. The meal will be at least four courses (salad, appetizer, main dish, and dessert). Final reservations will be Fri. Feb 13th, so please share this soon.
If you know of a company/organization willing to donation food or decorations, please let Dr. McGaughy know.
